Description

The Project Accounting Manager will drive all accounting and financial activities relating to the company's projects. The role will be to plan, manage, maintain, and report progress of the project's financial health on a monthly basis. The Project Accounting Manager will report directly to the Controller and work to provide high level support to Management.

Major Responsibilities

  • Completes initial set up of all projects.
  • Gains understanding of the billing requirements of all projects.
  • Generates and reviews all project billings.
  • First line of review/approval of AP invoices after entered by AP department.
  • Prepares and oversees month-end project financial reports.
  • Track, manage and communicate project-related financial issues in a professional manner.
  • Prepares and reviews project accruals at month-end with project teams.
  • Prepares and reviews billing forecast for all projects (initial and monthly updates thereafter).
  • Tracks and provides solutions for all projects with Cost in Excess of Billings.
  • Prepares and reviews owner change orders.
  • Monitor and effectively respond to team needs and potential problems.
  • Work with multiple departments related to the projects.
  • Gather approvals, signatures and notarize (when applicable) payment applications, lien waivers, and change orders.
  • Work to support Project Teams and Customers/Clients.
  • Manage and prioritize workload to meet project timelines.
  • Successfully interact with other departments to improve efficiencies.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements and Environment

Typical office environment. Sitting, walking, talking, hearing, reading, writing, keyboarding, driving, filing, reaching, stooping, crouching, bending, standing for extended periods of time, lifting, or carrying up to 40 pounds.
